June 21st North Side Mt. Rainier In-Person Training

What: This training is an opportunity to learn about the carnivores of Mt. Rainier while we look for scat samples and hike largely over snow. While snowshoes are not needed, gaiters are recommended.

Where: We will meet at the White River campground day use parking, west side, and we will hike up toward Glacier Basin for just over an hour and then return.

Everyone will get a chance to learn how to collect scats, but you should be prepared to turn around if you become uncomfortable on the snow.

After 11:00am, you will be able to hike on your own. Come prepared with a lunch and water.
